A coalition of local Interfaith clergy convened for a  Summit on Faith and Racism in the Ohio Valley on Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m.  This event took place in The Vineyard’s production studio on Warden’s Run, and was live online through The Vineyard’s Facebook page and on radio at 1170 WWVA.

Participants included Reverend Chris Figaretti of The Vineyard, Reverend Darrell Cummings of Bethlehem Apostolic Temple, Reverend Ken Hardway of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Reverend Jacob Steele of Christ United Methodist Church, Reverend Erica Harley of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church, and Rabbi Joshua Lief of Temple Shalom, as well as special guests, Wheeling Mayor Glenn Elliott, and Wheeling Police Chief Shawn Schwertfeger. 

The program included prayers on a variety of pressing issues, followed by a conversation on where we are as a community, and how we can move forward positively.
