HOMETOWN NAZARETH: WHERE JESUS WAS A KID
A summer family event called Hometown Nazareth will be hosted at Christ United Methodist Church, 1232 National Rd., Wheeling, WV from Sunday, July 14th to Thursday, July 18th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for ages 3-11.
Families step back in time at Hometown Nazareth, exploring what it was like to live in the town where Jesus grew up. Kids and adults participate in a memorable Bible-times marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into Bible-times snacks, visit Jesus’ mom, Mary, and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s Word. Plus, everyone learns to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at Celebration—a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.
If you have not yet registered your child or children for this year’s VBS, please do so by calling Christ UMC at 304-242-2455, registering electronically below, or by registering at the door at the commencement of VBS on Sunday, July 14th.
To enable us to put on such an event, volunteers are needed. In the Narthex a sign-up sheet is posted for members of the congregation to place their name beside a position for which they would like to volunteer.
