CUMC Family and Friends,

In January, brothers and sisters of the United Methodist Church, including CUMC’s own Winnie Hurd, will be traveling to Bungoma, Kenya on a mission trip to serve Living Hope High School (LHHS). LHHS is a ministry of the West Virginia Annual Conference (all United Methodist Churches in WV). Presently, LHHS has 86 students all of whom are provided with education and hope for college through scholarships. If you’d like to learn more about LLHS, please click here.

Winnie and the other missionaries need our help!

They will be traveling with totes or suitcases full of essential supplies for the students and staff. 100% of contributions (payable to CUMC) toward this mission, will enable them to “tote the hope” all the way to Kenya. And the best part is, you don’t have to do any shopping! CUMC has a “pro” shopper who knows all of the great deals in the area so you can get the most bang for your buck.

If you are interested in learning more about this mission, a display is set up in the Narthex entrance at the church. You may give to this mission by writing a check to CUMC with “Tote the Hope” written in the memo line.

Thank you in advance for helping these students have a brighter future!
