CUMC Chancel Choir:

Comprised of approximately 25 men and women, the CUMC choir sings at most 11:00 am worship services with the exception of summer months when they break through July and August and reconvene in September.  The choir rehearses pieces that are tailored to be seasonally or worship specific and often incorporate instrumental accompaniment from talented, local musicians.

Rehearsals regularly take place on Sunday mornings in the choir room (#109, located on the main level next to the chapel sanctuary) from 9:30-10:45, just prior to 11:00am worship in the main sanctuary.

If you’re one who has a singing voice, a love for music and a desire to serve the Lord by being part of a close knit-friendly group of singers, then contact Dr. Wiesner to find out how you can join us. We’d love to have you!

Hand Bell Choir

11 adventurous bell ringers and Musical Director, Harald Wiesner meet every Tuesday Evening from 7:00-8:00pm to practice their musical skills with hand bells.

The Bell Choir uses 4 1/2 octave Malmark Bells that are rung alone or used with special accessories to alter their tones during certain chosen pieces.  At his discretion, the Musical Director chooses specific bell music appropriate for the season or service.

The ringers play for particular services and approximately 7 11am worship services each year.  If you are interested in joining the group, please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Wiesner.  The hand bell choir enjoys making a joyful noise of praise unto the Lord.
