St. Michael Parish will host this year’s community-wide Interfaith Service of Gratitude, set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 22nd at 1225 National Rd, Wheeling.

The faithful of the Wheeling area will come together with clergy from local houses of worship to thank God for the blessings bestowed and to pray for less fortunate people. The faith leaders will share sacred scripture readings from their various traditions.

Among the clergy who will participate is the Most Reverend Mark E. Brennan, Bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston; Suff. Bishop Darrell Cummings, pastor of Bethlehem Apostolic Temple; Rev. Carlos Melocoton, pastor of St. Michael Parish; Rabbi Joshua Lief of Temple Shalom; Rev. Kenneth Hardway, pastor of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); Rev. Erica Hall, pastor of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church; and Rev. Marshall Davis, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church.

The clergy asked that people bring nonperishable food items to donate to Catholic Charities and other organizations that help feed neighbors in need. Please join our brothers and sisters of many faiths to praise and thank the Lord.

A brief reception will be held immediately after the service. All are welcome.
